2009 CACREP Board Member Position Announcement

The Council for Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) promotes the professional competence of counseling and related practitioners through the development of preparation standards, through encouraging excellence in program development, and through the accreditation of professional preparation programs. With almost 500 accredited programs at more than 200 institutions, CACREP is committed to the development of standards and procedures that reflect the needs of a dynamic, diverse and complex society. CACREP is dedicated to (1) encouraging and promoting the continuing development and improvement of preparation programs, and (2) preparing counseling and related professionals to provide service consistent with the ideal of optimal human development.

The Nominations Committee of the CACREP Board of Directors invites counselor educators to apply for two (2) open Board of Director positions beginning July, 2009. Those chosen to serve on the Board of Directors will serve one five-year term. To be considered for one of the open positions, a completed application must be postmarked/emailed/faxed no later than July 15th, 2008.
