CACREP-CORE Merger Finalized

This weekend, leaders from both the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) completed the final paperwork to merge the two organizations, bringing to a close the multi-year alignment process for the two counseling accrediting bodies. Effective July 1, 2017, CACREP has assumed responsibility for continuing the mission and vision of CORE through its accreditation process, which has now officially includes the review of graduate level rehabilitation counselor education programs. CACREP sends a warm welcome to all of the Rehabilitation Counseling programs, faculty, and students who are now a part of CACREP.
