The specialty area was found to substantially meet the standards with some minor standards-related deficiencies for which the Board requires further information. Additional information is required for the following standard:

2.F.5.c – The Counselor Education Program must address curriculum on consultation theories, models, and strategies

4.B – The Counselor Education Program needs to address evaluation of program objectives.

4.D – The Counselor Education Program needs to address its annual report creation and distribution.

4.F – The Counselor Education Program needs to address assessment of student learning.

5.C.1.b – The Counselor Education Program needs to address curriculum on the theories and models related to clinical mental health counseling.

Program History

The Community Counseling program was initially accredited in July 2004 and has maintained its accreditation. It became a Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in July 2014.
