The Master of Arts in Community Counseling program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation for the practice of counseling.The program introduces students to the basic skills of counseling, integrating individual, group, and organizational interventions. The program emphasizes development of the attitudes, knowledge, and skills required for the ethical provision of counseling services. We are committed to training students to enter the profession as ethical, effective, and culturally competent practitioners, able to work in a variety of settings. This goal is achieved through a curriculum designed to integrate skills, theories, and clinical field training taught by experienced practitioners.
