CACREP is seeking nominations for its national awards programs

The Martin Ritchie Award for Excellence in Advocacy recognizes individuals who engage in superlative advocacy efforts on behalf of CACREP and its vision, mission, and values, which ultimately serve to advance the counseling profession through quality and excellence in counselor education. Nominees for the Martin Ritchie Award may include but are not limited to counselor educators, students, practitioners, organization leaders, counselor licensure board members, state or federal government officials, and other relevant stakeholders that embody the spirit of the Martin Ritchie Award for Excellence in Advocacy.  To learn more about how to nominate someone for this award, see the 2023 nomination form.

The Carol Bobby Pioneer Award for Visionary Leadership recognizes a doctoral student in a CACREP-accredited counselor education and supervision program who embodies visionary leadership aligned with CACREP’s core values. Nominees are limited to doctoral students in CACREP-accredited counselor education and supervision programs. Award recipient will receive a stipend to cover conference registration and travel expenses to attend the 2023 Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) Conference where the award will be presented. Nominations for CACREP awards must be submitted by email to cacrep@cacrep.org using the appropriate nomination form and attaching any necessary supporting materials. Nominations must be submitted no later than May 26, 2023. Only one nominee will be chosen in each category. The CACREP Board of Directors will review nominations and determine award recipients at its July 2023 Board Meeting. Recipients will be officially recognized at the 2023 Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) Conference scheduled to be held October 12-15, 2023, in Denver.
