Accreditation Management System Resource Page
Welcome to the AMS
CACREP is working with EDvera to implement its accreditation management software. Work is ongoing to customize dashboards, enter data, design report templates, and develop workflows for the various reports.
Please be aware that a change in the AMS’s display went into effect on 8/27/2025. The how-to videos that are currently on this page were recorded prior to the changes. The processes described in the videos are still accurate even though the display is now on the left-hand side.
What is an AMS?
An Accreditation Management System (AMS) is a one stop shop for completing and submitting reports/forms, reviewing institution information, and streamlining the review process. Use of the AMS will facilitate information sharing and program support. Through the use of the AMS, programs will be able to view program profiles, view due dates and statuses for required reports, update contact information, and access templates for online report/form development and submission. The online report/form development functionality includes the ability for programs to upload supporting documentation directly into the system along with the completed report/form.
What’s the difference between the AMS and CACREP website logins?
The AMS (https://cacrep.edvera.com) is where you can access institutional/program information, due dates for required reports, and report/form templates. You can also access the AMS via the “AMS” button in the top right hand corner of our website.
CACREP Program Liaisons at accredited institutions can log in to CACREP website (www.cacrep.org) to update descriptions which will accompany the program’s entry in the Directory of Accredited Programs. You can log into the CACREP website by using the “LOGIN” button in the top left hand corner of our website.
NOTE: The CACREP website and CACREP’s EDvera website are two separate websites and are not connected.
Who Can Access the AMS?
The initial set-up of the system primarily allows access and provides functionality to the CACREP Program Liaison. Department Chairs can also access the system and have limited permissions to start and submit certain forms.
-
- Program Liaison: can start and submit all available reports/forms
- Department Chair: can start and submit Dashboard Update, People- Update or Confirm Designated Roles, and People-Update or Confirm Contact Information forms
Deans and Presidents can access the system to view the program profile.
Programs can elect to add additional users to the system as either viewers (i.e., read-only) or editors (i.e., start-edit-submit). To add a user as either a viewer or editor, Program Liaisons can email [email protected] with the subject line “Adding Editor or Viewer” to request the addition.
Programs will need to monitor who has been given access to the system and notify CACREP when access should no longer be available.
How Do I Access the AMS?
You will log-in to the Accreditation Management System at https://cacrep.edvera.com/. It will be necessary to set up a password when logging in for the first time. To do so, click on the link for “Forgot your password?” then you will be prompted to enter your email. Enter your institution email address.
To set a password, you will need to receive a password reset email. This email will come from either [email protected] or [email protected]. If you do not receive the email, check your email spam folder. If it is not there, it is possible your university’s email system is not accepting the email. In this instance, you will need to work with your university’s IT unit to whitelist those email addresses for the emails to be received.

How to set your password during initial log in?
If you experience any difficulties setting or resetting your password, please reach out to [email protected] with the subject line “AMS Password Help”.
How Do I Access the AMS if My Program is Not Accredited?
Effective October 1, 2025, programs seeking initial accreditation will need to complete a form to request access to the AMS and submit a fee of $1000. The fee will provide access to the AMS SSR template for a period of 2 years. If the SSR is submitted in the 2-year period, the $1000 fee will be credited toward the program’s application fee. If the SSR is not submitted in the 2-year period, the original fee is forfeited, and a new fee will need to be submitted for continued access to the AMS SSR template.
It’s important to note that for CACREP to review your SSR you will need to have submitted a completed self-study report, application, and application fee.

What Will I See When I Access the AMS?
When you first log in to the AMS, you will see two tabs labeled respectively “Dashboard” and “Documents.”
Dashboard: The system will open to the Dashboard. The Dashboard contains a broad array of institution and program information, including: general information; a list of program contacts in designated roles (i.e., President, Dean, Department Chair, Program Liaison); information about accredited specialized practice areas and doctoral programs, including expiration date and accreditation statuses; a list of reports due and received date; fee status; consultant authorization, if applicable; a list of institutional/program characteristics; and information on decisions history. Please note that not all sections (e.g., Decisions History) will initially include information. CACREP will be working to populate these sections. The Program Liaison will initially populate and maintain the IHE characteristics block using the Dashboard Updates form. If you note any errors in or have questions about the information displaying on your institution’s dashboard, please reach out to [email protected] with the subject line “AMS Dashboard Help.”
Documents: The Documents tab provides access to unsubmitted and submitted forms and reports. Located on this tab is a “+Start Document” button. Clicking on that button will bring up a list of reports/forms that the user has permission to start. Please note that development work is ongoing for various reports/forms. A list of forms and reports currently available in the system is included below.

Video: Overview of the AMS once you log into the system
This is what you will see once you set your password and log into the system. Please note that EDvera did a UI update in October 2024, so some parts of the AMS now look slightly different than what you will see in the video.
What Are Some Key Considerations When Using the AMS:
- Save Your Work Often!: When completing reports/forms in the AMS, please be sure to save your work regularly. The system will time out following inactivity. Failure to regularly save may result in loss of work.
- When filling out reports/forms, it is recommended that you develop your responses using a word processing program and save a copy of the responses. This enables you to copy and paste your responses into the form/report and retain a copy of the responses should any problems arise with the submission. You can download a blank PDF version of most forms/reports when first starting them by using the “Print” function. This will allow you to have offline access to any specific questions asked in the report/form. Please note that some reports have questions that only display based on how you respond to a prior question. In these instances, those questions may not display in the blank pdf download.
- While multiple editors can be in a report/form at the same time (if you have granted additional people viewer or editor status), they cannot simultaneously edit information. This will result in a loss of data due to different versions overwriting each other when being saved. This will occur even if the individuals are working in different sections of the report/form. If the program wants different people to edit or write different sections of a report/form, options can include:
- Copying the questions out of the form or report and developing responses outside the AMS in a word processing program
- Ensuring the individuals log into the system at different times to enter information or edit
- Having the individuals logged in simultaneously but ensuring that only one person makes an edit and that the edit is saved and displays before anyone makes any other changes
- After you submit any report/form there is an option to print and/or download a copy of your submission for your own files. It is recommended that you save an external version of any form or report for your records. The download option will provide both the report/form and any supporting documentation that had been uploaded with it. For the Self-Study Report template (when available), be sure to consult the 2024 Standards Guidance Document for information on required documentation. The Guidance Document will be updated to reflect the additional required documentation that is included in the template, when the template is available.
- If you have any questions regarding completing or submitting reports/forms or regarding editing your dashboard, please send an email to [email protected] or [email protected].

How Do I Complete Reports/Forms in the AMS?
Video: Dashboard Update Form
This quick-to-fill-out form allows you to provide information to populate or correct information in the “IHE Characteristics” block of your program’s profile dashboard. Examples of information that can be provided through this form include a link to the program’s website, whether there is a CSI chapter, your ACES region, and the size and legal status of your institution. Completing this short form is also a good way to learn how to start and complete a form in the AMS.
Video: The People – Confirm or Update Designated Roles Form
This form allows you to review and make changes, as necessary, to whom is currently listed for your program in the roles of Program Liaison, Department Chair, Dean and President/CEO. The form allows you to indicate that all information is current or to make changes. We recommend you complete this form before you complete the “The People – Confirm or Update Contact Information” forms. Please be sure to update this information every time a change occurs in one of these designated roles.
Video: The People – Confirm or Update Contact Information Form
This form allows you to review and make changes, as necessary, to the contact information for individuals in the Program Liaison, Department Chair, Dean and President/CEO roles for your program, as well as for any other individuals (e.g., individual with an editor role) associated with your program in the AMS. Please be sure to regularly review and update this information as needed.
Video: The 2024 Standards Application for Accreditation or Reaffirmation of Accreditation
All programs submitting an SSR for initial or reaffirmation of accreditation must submit this application. Please note that this document is being revised. When the revisions are complete, the new version will replace this version.
What Do I Need to Know About the 2024 SSR Templates?
The SSR templates are now available in the AMS. There are five versions of the template:
- Entry-Level Only: for use by programs that do not have or are not seeking accreditation/reaffirmation of accreditation for a doctoral program
- Entry-Level + Doctoral: for use by programs that have or are seeking accreditation for a doctoral program
- Adding Program Entry-Level Only: for use by accredited programs to add one or more specialized practice area(s) under the 2024 CACREP Standards
- Adding Program Entry-Level Only+ Doctoral: for use by accredited programs to add one or more specialized practice area(s) and a doctoral program under the 2024 CACREP Standards
- Adding Program Doctoral Only: for use by accredited programs to add a doctoral program under the 2024 CACREP Standards
Implementing the SSR Templates
For programs with SSR due dates of 1/1/2025-9/30/2025 (see your program’s AMS dashboard for report due dates):
- All required documentation specified in the Guidance Document (including all DCUFs- available for download in the SSR templates or on this page ) must be submitted in your SSR submission regardless of completion/ submission method.
- Once you have submitted your SSR, application, and application fee, your SSR will undergo a preliminary review to determine if all required documentation has been included. If the preliminary review determines that any required items are missing, we will ask you to revise and resubmit your SSR, making sure to include all required documentation (including all DCUFs) prior to the start of the desk review process.
All SSR submissions on or after 10/1/2025 must use the SSR template in the AMS.
As indicated above, all required documentation specified in the Guidance Document (including all DCUFs) must be submitted in your SSR submission.
Please note that the AMS incudes due dates for 2024 CACREP Standards SSR submissions. All programs should be sure to be familiar with the established due date for the SSR submission and plan their development schedule accordingly. We recommend allowing one year to conduct your self-study process and write your self-study report.
SSR Template
Programs completing their SSR in or external to the AMS can use this PDF download of the Entry-level + Doctoral SSR Template to see the response prompts to aid in preparing your SSR.
Copies of the Download-Complete-Upload (DCUF) forms that are required in addition to any other required documentation indicated in the 2024 CACREP Standards Guidance Document are available in the SSR templates and here. Programs should be sure to consult the CACREP 2024 Standards Guidance Document for information on required and example documentation.
2024 Standards Signature Page
The following signature form must be included with all applications for accreditation or reaffirmation of accreditation under the 2024 Standards. It is being provided since it can take time to gather the necessary signatures. When completing the application within the AMS you will upload the signature form(s) in “Signatures” tab. Please see instructions in signature form for how to title the form(s). You can include all signatures in one form or submit a separate form for each individual who must sign (i.e., President/CEO, Dean, Department Chair, and Program Liaison).
Click here for the Signature Form.
How to Complete a 2024 SSR in the AMS
How to Complete a 2024 SSR in the AMS
Please note that while the CACREP team tested these templates numerous times, we anticipate there may be some challenges as users access the templates from their respective interfaces. So, please use the templates with this awareness in mind. If you experience any challenges using the templates, please contact Vivian Gray ([email protected]) for assistance with the email subject line “Help with SSR template.”
SSR Documentation
Due to how the SSR templates download from the AMS system, it is necessary that programs use a standardized titling format for all documentation. All documentation must be titled utilizing the following format:
- [#.letter of standard] – [name of document]
- Example: 1.CC – Affiliate Faculty chart (DCUF)
- In instances where multiple documents are uploaded for a single standard, it can be helpful to add an additional number indicator for each document (e.g., 1.CC.1 – [name of document]; 1.CC.2 – [name of document])
