Policy C.2. Publicizing Accreditation Status and Use of CACREP Certification Mark

Institutions with one or more degree programs accredited by CACREP must assure accuracy when publicizing the degree program’s CACREP-accredited status. Accredited counselor education programs may use the CACREP Certification Mark, not the CACREP logo, to promote their CACREP-accredited status. Accredited counselor education programs must obtain permission prior to using the CACREP Certification Mark, which is trademarked. Permission may be obtained by submitting a written request to the CACREP office. Unauthorized use of the Certification Mark is subject to legal action. Neither institutions nor counselor education programs may use the CACREP logo in any promotional materials.
