CACREP 2024 Standards Guidance Document

This draft supplemental resource aids understanding of the CACREP 2024 Standards. It includes entries for all standards, including brief explanations about the standard’s intents and requirements; information on things to consider when applying the standard or preparing reports on how the program meets the requirements of the standard; and information on required and/or possible kinds of supporting documentation to include when reporting on how the program meets the standard. CACREP 2024 Standards Self-Study Report Template

To further facilitate the process of creating and submitting self-study reports (and other accreditation reports), CACREP is working to develop an accreditation management system (AMS).

Currently, we are working with our AMS vendor to develop a Self-Study Report (SSR) template in the AMS for use with the 2024 CACREP Standards. While development of that AMS-based SSR template is being completed, we are making available a Word copy of the SSR template and a PDF file that includes all associated forms (these are called Download, Complete, and Upload Forms, or “DCUFs”).

The Word template and PDF file will be available on a temporary basis for informational purposes. Please note that these are draft versions. Some aspects of the template and forms may look different in the AMS based on developer considerations.

The SSR template is intended to be used in conjunction with the Draft CACREP 2024 Standards Guidance Document (Guidance Document), available on this page. For general guidance on reporting on and responding to CACREP Standards, please see pages 9-12 of the Guidance Document. The lists of required documentation included in the Guidance Document will be updated to reflect the DCUFs below.

Please note that not all aspects of the draft Word SSR template are functional, as this was created as a guide for the developers.

Programs may use the Word SSR template and/or DCUFs as a guide for SSR development at this time. Feel free to copy and paste what you need, replicate the sections as needed, or simply use the DCUFs to assist with documentation.

Please note, however, that programs are not required to use the draft Word SSR template or DCUFs – they are merely provided as a resource and aid for SSR development.

In the future, once the final version of the SSR template has been developed in the AMS and rolled out, its use will be required.
