Status Information

The specialized practice area was found to substantially meet the standards with some minor standards-related deficiencies for which the Board requires further information.

Additional information is required for the following standards:

1.R – The Counselor Education Program needs to address the number of qualified faculty.

1.U – The Counselor Education Program needs to address teaching and advising loads, scholarship, and service expectations of counselor education program faculty.

3.P – The Counselor Education Program needs to address site supervisor qualifications.

4.C – The Counselor Education Program needs to report back on the use of program evaluation data to inform program modifications.

Program History

The Community Counseling program was initially accredited in October 1993 and has maintained its accreditation. It became a Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in January 2017.
