Seattle University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program graduates diverse, ethical, reflective, clinically skilled and multiculturally competent counselors for the profession. Preparing students to work in various mental health settings, this master’s of arts degree program includes an internship at a mental health counseling agency such as youth service bureaus, mental health centers and correctional facilities. Housed in the College of Education, this established, highly regarded graduate counseling program is designed for the working student that values ethics, diversity and social justice.

The Community Counseling program was initially accredited in July 2010 and has maintained its accreditation. It became a Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in July 2018.
