Graduates are prepared to work in a variety of human service settings, including mental health centers, hospitals, substance abuse treatment centers, college counseling centers, career planning and placement centers and other community agencies offering counseling services, consultation, and prevention programs. Students may complete the Master’s degree on a full or part basis. Courses are offered in the evening to accommodate different schedules and needs. We follow a cohort model to provide the maximum support for students to successfully complete the program.

The Community Counseling program was initially accredited in September 1986 and has maintained its accreditation. It became a Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in January 2017.
