The Master of Science degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program at the University of North Florida provides students with the necessary educational requirements to become licensed as Mental Health practitioners in Florida
Nationally recognized CMHC faculty prepare exemplary counselors by delivering a 60 hour curriculum based on CACREP standards and empirically- supported counseling theories and treatments. Instruction is both didactic and experiential.
The CMHC program is student-centered and emphasizes faculty mentoring. Program graduates work in a variety of settings including private practice, community mental health agencies, schools, and hospitals
Partial scholarships and assistantship opportunities are available.
Please note that this program is currently accredited as a Mental Health Counseling program.

The Mental Health Counseling program was initially accredited in November 1998 and has maintained its accreditation. It became a Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in January 2015.
