University of Florida

The doctoral program prepares students for careers in academia and advanced clinical and administrative positions. Our program aligns with the University of Florida mission to prepare the next generation of scholars and professional leaders. Thus, our doctoral program is a good fit for individuals who want to fulfill the roles of counselor educators – research, writing, teaching, service, securing external funding to support scholarship, assuming professional leadership positions, etc. Doctoral students complete coursework, a doctoral clinical internship, participate in teaching and supervision, and conduct research leading to the completion of a dissertation.
