The Department of Counselor Education offers a 60 credit-hour program leading to a Masters of Arts degree in Family Counseling. The program meets the educational requirements for Illinois licensing for both Clinical Counseling (LPC and LCPC) and Marriage and Family Therapy (LFMT). Students will be prepared to work in a variety of settings including: mental health agencies, commity counseling agencies, chemical dependency programs, hospitals, marriage and family counseling clinics, crisis centers, youth agencies, and court settings.
