College of William and Mary

The Marriage and Family Counseling Program provides coursework in family counseling theory and techniques with special attention to working with multi-challenged families. Particular consideration is given to family counseling frameworks that are multidimensional and culturally inclusive. The Program builds upon the resources for practicum and internship available through the New Horizons Family Counseling Center that is operated by the Counselor Education Program at the College of William & Mary. The 60 hour classroom and clinical instruction sequence satisfies the academic requirements for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Full-time students complete the Program in two years.
