Founded by Dr. George Elias in 1968, the graduate program in rehabilitation counseling has a long and distinguished reputation for high quality instruction, experienced faculty and small class sizes. We place a major emphasis on the acquisition of strong counseling skills, effective case management, and a comprehensive knowledge of jobs and the world of work. Cultural competency, client empowerment, advocacy and ethical practice are themes that run throughout the program. We strive to develop a Community of Learning within the program where everyone shares the common goal of improving the quality of life of individuals with disabilities. We offer a 60-credit Master of Arts program in Rehabilitation
Counseling.
