West Virginia University

We offer a full time, two year program. We interview applicants in early spring for fall admissions. A unique feature of our program is that it is very practice oriented. Emphasis is on training practitioners who are well versed in the ASCA National Model. We offer a wide range of theoretical approaches and stress that students who graduate are strong in at least one theoretical orientation. Students have courses in counseling children, adolescents, couples and families, addictions, group, grief, and crisis. Faculty frequently present at national and state school counseling conferences. We also stress advocacy and consultation.
