University of Montana

The University of Montana is located in Missoula, Montana, nestled into the Rocky Mountains and filled with scenic beauty. Our CACREP-Accredited School Counseling Track is part of our vibrant Department of Counselor Education. Faculty include Drs. John and Rita Sommers-Flanagan, Dr. Cathy Jenni, and joining us in the fall of 2010, Dr. Scott Schaefle. Our school counseling students enjoy a wide range of practicum and internship experiences, often tailored to the student’s desired learning experiences with student populations ranging from kindergarten to high school, large schools, small schools, as well as alternative and private schools. We are a small enough department to be very student-centered, and large enough for a great sense of community!
