The Master of Arts in Counseling concentration in school counseling is a 48 credit hour CACREP accredited program that meets the requirements for school counselor certification in the state of New Jersey. The program is designed to prepare prospective school counselors to perform all the tasks of required of K-12 school counselors. Students learn about the duties of a school counselor through concentration courses and field experience hours. In addition to the specifics of counseling in schools, students are trained in counseling techniques along with core courses in counseling theory with a commitment to multicultural awareness.

This program is also recognized by IRCEP (International Affiliate of CACREP) and demonstrates commitment to the Counselling profession and adherence to the rigorous international recognition review process meeting the highest international Principles of Quality Assurance and Professional Standards essential to the education and training of Counsellors.
