The Master of Science Degree in School Counseling is designed to prepare students as practitioner researchers and professional counselors who can meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students in public and private school systems. Emphasis is placed on multicultural competencies and counselors as consultants.
The Program is 54 semester hours and provides students with the opportunity to develop skill sets in the areas of addiction counseling, counseling children and adolescents or research and evaluation.
The Program is accredited by CACREP, NCATE and meets school counseling licensure requirements for the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland.
