Pennsylvania State University

The School Counseling program provides concentrated learning and on-site experience for people desiring employment primarily with children or adolescents. Students with an elementary school counseling focus spend three intensive semesters on-site at an elementary or middle school. Secondary school counseling focused students spend two intensive semesters at a middle or high school plus a third semester counseling college students. Low student-faculty ratios emphasize individual attention and mentoring. Accredited by CACREP and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the curriculum is also consistent with standards and guidelines established by the American School Counselor Association and the American Counseling Association.
