The master’s degree in School Counseling is designed to provide prospective school counselors with the skills necessary to establish and conduct effective developmental guidance and counseling programs in schools, pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The School Counseling program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The accreditation runs through October 31st, 2028. The School Counseling program is currently accredited as a 48-hour program. The program offers a Master of Arts in Counselor Education.
This program is also recognized by IRCEP (International Affiliate of CACREP) and demonstrates commitment to the Counselling profession and adherence to the rigorous international recognition review process meeting the highest international Principles of Quality Assurance and Professional Standards essential to the education and training of Counsellors.
