Canisius University is located in Buffalo, NY and has an excellent reputation and working collaborations with area professionals. The program is aligned with the Jesuit tradition of care of the whole person and has a tradition of being practitioner oriented. Faculty provide a responsive, collegial relationship with students. Faculty welcome students from diverse cultures. In addition, faculty bring experience from the field and other professional work that informs their teaching. The school counseling program leads to K-12 certification in New York State and has a certificate of advanced study totaling 12 hours beyond the MS degree.
