Graduates of the School Counseling Specialization are prepared to
serve as professional school counselors in K-12 educational settings.
Professional school counselors work to meet the academic, social-emotional,
and career needs of all students through individual, group,
and classroom delivery modalities. Through advocacy, collaboration,
and leadership, school counseling graduates serve as systemic change
agents striving to ensure equitable educational access by engaging
in data-informed practice, reducing multi-level barriers, and promoting
culturally sensitive decision-making.
